ReelModels is my development project. The concept is very simple, which is to allow all types of Models (beauty, runway, video, promotional etc.) to create a simple digital comp card and portfolio. Over time, I would like this to become an eco-system for everyone else in the industry to connect ie. Photographers, Stylists, Agents, Designers etc. I really want to keep it as simple as possible while providing basic social media features and fluid functionality.
2006. I had the concept for this project and called it
district12, but was unable to get it past the build stage and just used the name for my personal blog at the time.
2009, Nov 10 - RM Dev. I decided to re-visit this project and give it another shot. I sketched out a couple of blueprints, came up with the name ReelModels and started development work on it. I felt like this was still something I could do better. So I figured why not give it a try and see where this goes.
2010, Jan 23 - RM Beta. I launched RM into private beta and then later in the year opened it up. During this time, things slowed down a bit and I kept making various changes and bug fixes.
2010, Sep - The New RM. After some cooling off and a much needed vacation, I decided to step things up. I began working on the New RM. The focus for the New RM was user experience.
2010, Oct 12 - The New RM goes live. The New RM is now live and I will continue to add to it as I can.

Building something of this scale on my own was not easy. It's been quite the challenge and experience. I had help along the way and I like to give credit where credit is due, so the list above will be dedicated to people who provided any assistance whatsoever for this project. Without all this support, I really would have just given up.
